DEGREE: BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (AGRO-INDUSTRY)
Agro-Biotechnology provide the knowledge and skill in the industrial processing of the agricultural raw material to produce the processed products for consumption and goods with application of biological science and other related subjects. The curriculum also encourages the students to be able to perform scientific research in order to develop new products with respect to responsibility to the society and ethical aspect.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide the agriculture industry and the nation with highly trained professionals who are able to apply basic and applied scientific principles to the production of safe and nutritious basic food communities to be further processed into finished foods. Graduates of this program will also be morally sound, committed to acting in a just manner, and open to further spiritual and intellectual growth. They will be able to assume leadership roles in the further development of the nation.
- To provide gradates with sufficient scientific knowledge to pursue postgraduate studies and research.
- To design and develop efficient and environmentally safe agricultural products and processes as well as conducting basic research for the agriculture industry.
- To disseminate knowledge of biotechnology in Agriculture through outreach to the community by conduction serious and workshops, by providing advice to the community, and through scientific publications.
